Welcome to BytePriva
Welcome to BytePriva (bytepriva.com). We build simple, fast and useful web tools for everyday digital tasks. You will find calculators for engineering and metal work, tools for PDFs, images and text, 3D chemistry viewers, and small business tools such as a resume builder, an invoice generator and a point-of-sale screen. Whether you need to convert a file, check a value, format some data or handle a small business job without buying software, our aim is to make it smooth and hassle-free.
Why we built it
Many people need a small tool for a small job. A fabricator wants to know the weight of a steel plate. A student wants to rotate a molecule and see its shape. Someone wants to merge two PDFs, shrink a photo or write an invoice. These jobs should not need a long sign-up, a big download or a monthly fee. BytePriva started from that simple idea: put practical tools in one place, keep them easy to use, and keep them free.
What you can find here
Our tools are grouped into hubs, so you can find what you need quickly.
Calculators. This is our largest metal and fabrication section. It includes weight calculators for bars, beams, angles, channels, pipes, sheets, plates and rebar, plus tools for sheet gauge, bend allowance, bolt torque, scrap value, welding cost, laser cutting cost, welding wire use and powder coating coverage.
PDF Tools. You can merge, split, compress and watermark PDFs, remove blank pages, add Bates numbers, remove metadata, convert PDFs to images or Word files, and prepare pages for printing or for reading on a Kindle.
Image Tools. These cover converting between formats such as JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC, compressing and resizing images, cropping or renaming many files at once, viewing and removing hidden metadata, and calculating resolution, megapixels, aspect ratio and print size.
Text and Developer Tools. These include word and character counters, case converters, duplicate removers, text comparison, password tools, and converters for JSON, CSV, Markdown, HTML, Base64 and URLs.
Chemistry 3D Tools. These viewers let you rotate molecules in three dimensions, from simple VSEPR shapes to organic molecules, biomolecules and metal complexes. They are meant to help with learning and revision.
Business Suite Tools. These include a resume and cover letter builder, an invoice and estimate generator, a simple point-of-sale tool, a WhatsApp store page builder, a thumbnail maker and a certificate maker.
Guides that explain the numbers
A calculator is more useful when you understand what it is doing. That is why we also write plain-language guides. Each guide answers one practical question, such as how welding cost per meter is worked out, how much powder coating covers per kilogram, how sheet gauge differs from thickness, how to check that a PDF redaction really worked, or whether an online tool uploads your files. We use simple examples and show the steps, and we label example figures as examples.
How to get the best results
Start with the tool page, read the short notes on what to enter, and use your own real sizes, rates and settings instead of the defaults. If a tool has a guide, read it once to see how the result is worked out. Then compare the answer with something you already know, such as a supplier’s data sheet or a previous job. This simple habit catches most input mistakes before they become expensive.
How we try to keep things accurate
Most of our calculators use standard formulas and typical material values. For example, weight tools work from size, density and length, and cost tools work from the rates you enter. When we write about a topic, we try to rely on well-known references and official sources rather than guesses.
We want to be honest about limits. Results from our tools are estimates. Real materials vary between suppliers, and real jobs have details that no simple calculator can see. Please check important results against your supplier’s data, your drawing, your standards or a qualified professional before you order material, cut metal, send a legal document or make a decision that matters. Our Disclaimer page explains this in more detail.
We are also human, and sometimes we make mistakes. If you find a wrong number, a confusing sentence or a tool that does not behave as you expect, please tell us. We read the messages we receive and we fix problems when we can.
Our approach to privacy
We care about privacy and keep our tools simple. Many of our tools are designed to run in your browser, so what you type or the files you open can be handled on your own device instead of being sent to our servers. Many tools also work without an account or sign-up.
Because every tool is different, we suggest you read the notes on each tool page and our Privacy Policy. If you are working with a very sensitive document, please check the result yourself before you share it, and keep a copy of your original file.
Like most free websites, BytePriva shows ads from third parties such as Google AdSense, which may use cookies. We do not send your files or tool inputs to advertisers. See our Privacy Policy for details and your choices.
Who our tools are for
We build for ordinary people with real tasks: fabricators, welders, engineers, students, teachers, freelancers, small shop owners, office workers and anyone who needs a quick answer. You do not need technical knowledge to use most of our tools. Each page tries to explain what to enter, what the result means and what to watch out for.
Always free, always growing
BytePriva is a growing collection. We add new tools, improve the old ones and write new guides based on what people actually ask for. If there is a tool you wish existed, or a calculator you use often that is missing a feature, we would like to hear about it.
